  • Ronald McDonald House Charities Advisory Board (7 years). A member of the Capital Campaign Committee and assisted in raising 18 million. Chaired RMHC Faith Initiative.

  • McDonalds Atlanta Region Supply Chain Advisory Board (6 years- Vice Chairman).

  • Chairperson of the McDonald's Atlanta Region Gospel Program (10 years).

  • Black McDonald's Owner/Operators Association for the Atlanta Region, (15 years).

  • McDonald's Women's Operators & Network Inc., Vice President (5 years).

  • Member DeKalb County Workforce Development Advisory Board (4 years).

  • Member Decatur Business Association, DeKalb Chamber of Commerce (5 years).

Community Involvement and Civic Achievement

 

  • Co-founder of Mothers Legacy Inc. Foundation 501c3, a non- profit founded by her daughters in memory of her mother (10 years). The foundation awards annual scholarships in memory of my mother.

  • Active member of the community, providing mentorship and coaching to women in the Atlanta marketplace and faith base community, as well as works with DeKalb County Workforce Development mentoring high school students.

  • Member of numerous organizations including, Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc., Jack and Jill of America Inc., DeKalb County Business Association, and the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce

  • Buckhead Business Association Board of Directors (educational committee, Better Business Award, Business Development) City of Atlanta Workforce Development Mayors youth council

  • Participated in Power Girls Institute founded by Jeanetta Cole, a global program focused on developing leadership skills, character building and personal development for young women ages 14-16

Education

 

A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree, and received her Masters in Public Health from Morehouse School of Medicine in 1997 graduating Suma Cum Laude.

 

As a woman of faith, an active member of Atlanta First Baptist Church.

 

The mother of two beautiful daughters, Alleah and Ayana.

A native of Deland, Florida, Carrie Salone is President and CEO of Legacy Supply Team, Inc., A regional Janitorial Supply and Chemical Company with a focus on eco-friendly and sustainable products. Prior to founding Legacy Supply Team, she recently retired as a McDonalds Owner Operator in the Atlanta area.

 

She also spent 20 years in the healthcare industry where she held numerous positions with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
